Cookin Castle is our new, interactive game to teach children about healthier eating and food safety.
About the games
Set within a Scottish Castle, the player takes on the role as family cook and must try and keep the family looking happy and healthy to gain more points. The Wizard helps children navigate their way through the Store Room, where they will learn about food hygiene and safety, and the Kitchen, where they will learn about healthier eating.
Who is Cookin Castle for?
Cookin Castle can be used at home or in school, as an individual, group task or on a whiteboard as a class activity and provides teachers with support in delivering the Health and Wellbeing areas of the Curriculum for Excellence. Repeated play reinforces key messages about good food hygiene practices and a healthy, balanced diet, encouraged by some healthy competition! Each month the ‘Clan’ at the top of the league table will win Cookin Castle prizes for themselves and their class.
