Bramik Foods Ltd Withdraws its Mango Slices & New Crop Dried Figs

Bramik Foods Ltd is withdrawing its mango slices (100g), new crop dried figs (250g & 375g) because the products contain sulphur dioxide, which is not mentioned on the packaging. This means the products are a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites.

The products being withdrawn from sale are listed below.

Risk:  

Allergen: sulphur dioxide or sulphites

These products contain sulphur dioxide making them a possible health risk for those with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites.

Our advice to consumers:

If you have bought either of the above products and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites do not consume them. Instead, return the product(s) to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Action taken by the company:

The company is withdrawing the above products, returned stock will then be labelled correctly and sent out.  The company has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the withdrawal. 

No other Bramik Foods Ltd products are known to be affected
