A.G Barr plc are recalling four batches of its Rubicon Sparkling Mango 2 litre soft drink

A.G Barr plc is recalling four batches of Rubicon Sparkling Mango 2 litre soft drink because the product is showing signs of fermentation and a possibility of an increased pressure.

Risk:

This product is showing signs of fermentation and a possibility of an increased pressure. This may cause the bottle to burst. The presence of yeast has resulted in spoilage of the products, making it unfit for human consumption.  

Product details:

The following four batches are being recalled and can be identified by the following codes visible on the neck of the bottle:

  • Feb 2017 6149

  • Feb 2017 6150

  • Mar 2017 6176

  • Mar 2017 6177

The batches affected were manufactured in May & June 2016.

No other batches of Rubicon Mango, or any other flavours, are known to be affected.

Action taken by the company:

A G Barr plc is communicating with all its customers about the affected product and is taking steps to ensure that such product is uplifted and removed from the market. Point of Sale materials have been developed with advice to both consumers and customers on how to dispose of or return the affected product. A copy of the Point of Sale notices can be found attached to this notice.

Advice to consumers:

If you have any of the affected batches mentioned above, please take note of the full set of codes displayed on the neck of the bottled before disposing, taking care when handling.
